How therapy may help
Priority areas do not mean you have failed. They identify places where added support may make daily life safer and easier. Occupational therapy can address daily routines, home safety, equipment, cognition, caregiver training, and fall prevention. Physical therapy can address strength, balance, walking, transfers, and fall prevention. Speech therapy can address communication, memory, thinking, and swallowing concerns.
Share these results with your primary care provider, caregiver, and any relevant medical specialist. They can help determine whether symptoms need medical evaluation and whether a therapy referral or other support is appropriate. Sharing is especially important when a concern is new, worsening, or marked as a priority.
